Position: Mechanical Engineer / Machine Performance Engineer
Marsa Rebar Ltd., a leading steel processing company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to optimise the performance and reliability of our production machinery and processes. Working with advanced Manufacturing Machinery. The ideal candidate will combine strong engineering expertise with practical, hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor and assess the performance and efficiency of factory machines and equipment.
- Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to minimise downtime and boost productivity.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure optimal machinery performance.
- Develop and maintain performance monitoring systems, KPIs, and reporting tools.
- Support the integration and commissioning of new machinery, technologies, or upgrades.
- Work with the Factory Manager and Production Supervisors to enhance workflow and output.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proven experience with industrial machinery, preferably in steel, metal, or heavy manufacturing sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring systems, production efficiency metrics, and maintenance practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in technical documentation, MS Office, and relevant engineering software.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of process optimisation and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with automation systems and/or control instrumentation.
